MEDIUMS

It all begins with an idea. A flash of imagery, a cultural reference, or a personal story designers pull from countless sources to develop the foundation of their work.

MEDIUMS showcases these initial sparks through original sketches, paintings and photos that shape the creative direction of each piece.

The transition from concept to form is where precision meets artistry. The exhibition gives an inside look into the importance of this process.

Before a garment takes its final shape, designers test materials, textures, and finishes. This stage is where innovation happens through a meticulous process of sewing, fitting, and perfecting every last detail.

MEDIUMS brings the journey of a garment to life through visual storytelling, movement, and atmosphere. The exhibition presents, deconstructs, and reconstructs fashion across multiple artistic mediums including ink on paper, acrylic on wood, thread suspended sculptures, photography on canvas, and finally a finished garment displayed on a dress form. Every piece is rendered in a size medium, offering a new perspective on the scale, artistry, and immense dedication of time, materials, and craftsmanship required to create a single garment.
